CHARIS (the word means "Grace") meets each Wednesday evening from 18.30 until 19.00 in the Thistle Chapel. A short service of prayer, praise and readings, also includes a meditation on perhaps the life of a notable Christian, e.g. St Columba or John Wesley, or an aspect of modern life e.g. the problems of the Third World or finding time to seek God in a busy world.
An important part of the meeting is spent praying for those known to us who are ill or facing a time of anxiety.
CHARIS provides a brief respite from the world - a refreshment for the soul. It is a welcoming group which warmly embraces anyone who comes along to join us.
